Living life in a dream world. Looking at these photos makes me forget that I'm living in California for a few seconds while I create a mental picture of walking through a paradise garden in the heart of Spain. Here I'm wearing one of my favorite vintage finds: a satin cream corset. Wanting to stray away from the common corset and tutu h&m look, I chose one of my latest purchases, this dusty rose hued Mink Pink skirt with a gorgeous side slit. Somewhere between sultry siren and a hopeless romantic.

I spent a few hours in Capitola, a small beach village tucked away in Santa Cruz county, yesterday with a couple friends. With its postcard-perfect strips of houses, restaurants lining up and down the street with beach views and lovely scenery, this getaway place is great for any mini excursions. My outfit even matched the pastel walls of the buildings. We stopped by the Paradise Beach Grille for lunch (amazing food!) and strolled around exploring the colorful neighborhood. Another day well spent with good food and good company.

Took these shots near the Fashion District in San Francisco. The day was bright and sunny out, so it was nice for a walk around the block. As for a little insight to my day to day activities, I have finally picked up reading again after a break from reading for self-indulgent purposes when I was too busy with school reading assignments. Currently, I am reading two novels - The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway and Shanghai Girls by Lisa See. Both stories take place during eras of time that truly fascinate me, the 1920s to 1960s.

After hanging around the Embarcadero piers, we roamed to touristy Chinatown where the remains of Chinese New Year celebrations were evident everywhere we walked. While trying to find a bathroom to change in (I was lugging outfits in bags as we went), we stumbled into a cute boba tea cafe and took a quick breather before resuming a game of dodging cars in the middle of the street. As for this ensemble, red black and white will always be the one color palette that I will have an affinity for no matter what season or year. Even better with stripes. Being one of my favorite outfits I pulled together for this one-day excursion in the city, it easily sums up my personal style: romantic with an edgy street Parisian twist.

I had a one-day excursion in the city yesterday with friends, not only for leisure but for research purposes as well. My friend, Bernie Su, who is currently doing character research for an upcoming project that he is writing, decided that he wanted to shadow me as a fashion blogger as I take outfit shoots. What started as an idea over a cup of coffee resulted in seven outfits, six hours and one fun day in San Francisco. Needless to say, I have plenty of ensembles and sights to share.

First deciding to hit Embarcadero, I wore this pastel lilac-chromatic two piece. Like I've mentioned previously, I'm slowly but surely making room in my closet for pants. So when I saw this pair of pastel lilac jeans on Asos, I couldn't say no. And although I'm not usually one to care or follow fads and trends, this pair of jeans couldn't fit in better with the current pastel trend that's taking over every fashion blogger's closet while perfectly satisfying my soft pastels color obsession.

I'm usually not much of a pants person, unless they're second-skin tight or with some tailored form. I basically live in hosiery and short hems most days out of the week. But loving leather everything, I was excited to wear these camel leather pants by Topshop right away when I received my package from Romwe. I love a good basic leather piece. In the meantime, I've also slowly accumulated a small collection of bottoms that I love, so expect to see me don full leg coverage more often than not.

For my best f.'s 18th birthday, we headed out with dinner plans at a local Mediterranean restaurant only to discover we were an hour early ahead of their opening schedule. Not wanting to wait around, we decided to make an impromptu change in plans and headed to Gumba's for an Italian birthday meal. Both being pasta lovers, we weren't disappointed. As for my outfit (first of 2012!), I'm all about texture so it resulted in mixing shaggy, sequin, chiffon and leather.

Happy 2012 guys! These are some shots that were taken in 35mm while shooting for my Style Sofia homepage feature. Dripping in all things sequin and glitter, I felt it suited the first post of 2012 since I wasn't able to get good shots of the outfit I wore on New Year's Eve. Spent the night of NYE attending a friend's party which led to an unexpected turn of events afterward. Overall, the last few minutes before midnight were well spent with a group of good friends toasting cheers to a new year with drinks as the ball dropped. Much to look forward to this year! 2011: a year in review

2011 has been an amazing year, filled with windows of opportunities and having the chance to meet many new faces. I couldn't thank you readers enough for the support that you have all given me on this little webspace of mine. In truth, I had no connection to the fashion (blog) world until summer of '10, when I started to actually make an effort in updating what originally had been just a dumping ground for the thoughts and musings of my 15 year old self. But in the span of a year and a half, this blog has granted me more opened doors to an industry and world that I love, than I would have imagined two years ago.

With big resolutions and much to look forward to, I am ready for 2012!

Cydney Morris and Dallas Wand are two California natives who have collaborated to make the clothing label, Stone_Cold_Fox, with the name inspired by a scene in The Virgin Suicides. Since the ignition of their grade two friendship, these childhood best friends have captivated a loyal following and virtual audience from their breezy, flowy and lace-filled collections to soft and romantic lookbooks. Being a lover of detail, lace and anything vintage inspired, I couldn't be more happy when I got a chance to get a one on two with these lovely ladies.

1. To start off, please introduce yourselves

C: Cydney Morris, 25, Designer/owner/Marketing of SCF

D: Dallas Wand, 25, Marketing/owner/Production of SCF

2. Tell us the story behind the label’s name, Stone Cold Fox.
C: It is a saying in the 70’s, like you're just a babe...lookin’ like a fox.
D: Yes, we thought of it when watching the movie, The Virgin Suicides.

3. What would you say is Stone Cold Fox’s aesthetic?

C: Its laid back, beautiful, delicate, neutral and fun to wear.
D: We pay a lot of attention to detail, its unique, care-free, and vintage inspired.

4. Describe a typical day in the Stone Cold Fox studio.

C: We get here around 8, and we do a lot of different things every day. Answering a lot of emails, cutting orders, sketching new designs, running back and fourth to our production team that is down the street.
D: Yes we do all of that, and we go to LA once a week to fabric shop, or show new stores our newest collection. We are always searching for new fabrics and picking up more for production.

5. What do you love about working with each other?

C: I love that we laugh all day at work, and we seem to always be on the same page, if were tired or want to skip work and shop we do, or if we are both stressed and want to stay and work till 1 am- we do it together.
D: Its fun to work with your best friend, and make beautiful clothes, and deal with the day to day ups and downs with someone your close with.

6. Cydney and Dallas, what would you ladies say your ideal outfit would consist of?

C: Bell bottoms and a cute crop top, or a maxi crochet dress.
D: Jean shorts, a flowey printed top and some really cute booties.

7. What do you think you bring to the fashion world?

C: I think we bring a classic line that makes people feel special when they can find it, and when they wear it. I think SCF is unique and stands out from a lot of brands. It’s not trendy, and very versatile.
D: I think we bring a good personal aesthetic to the fashion world, with being able to email us your order, and we allow you to slightly change things like the fabrics and trims that we use. It makes your garment feel that much more special.

8. Do you have any favorite designers that you look up to?

C: I love Stella McCartney, she designs beautiful things, Alexander Wang and his start up story, and old Chloe… I loved the white bell bottoms, lace and banana print.
D: Missoni, and their family business and how they are an all around lifestyle brand. Ellery, for being so young and what she has accomplished.

9. What are your plans for the coming new year, 2012?

C: We are hoping to get into more stores in the east cost and hopefully we will start doing international. We have a lot of Australian clients and I think it would be rad to be worldwide.
D: We are also going to come out with our second SCF home collection and really start branching out into more home wear. Hopefully another accessory as well.

10. Views on fashion bloggers?

C: I think its great, I am one. And the big ones are great because they help spread the word about our clothing company. I do miss magazines a lot but I think there is some really original content flying around the internet.
D: I find it really fun to lay in bed and look at all the blogs. They are really inspiring and a fun way to show great photography.

11. Our last designer interviewee wants to know, when you can't decide on anything to wear, what is your no-fail backup?

C: Ohhhh a pair of bells and a sweater or SCF Guadalupe tank.
D: The Boardwalk dress. It looks good on you no matter how you are feeling that day.

12. Lastly, what is one question that you ladies would like to ask our next interviewee?

C/D: If you could wear one thing the rest of your life, what would it be?

It's late fall and Christmas is only seven sleeps away! Wednesday will officially be the start of winter and its festivities that I can't wait for. These amazing mustard yellow cigarette pants were part of the care package that Sam had sent earlier this month, but more on that topic later. In the meantime, I'm working on a more reasonable Christmas wishlist and scouring the store shelves and racks for the perfect gifts for my friends and family. This year Califonia really lives up to its reputation for the 98 percent sunny year-round weather as LA in November seemed to be summer at home, but with slightly cooler breezes. My road trip mostly consisted of consuming food in the forms of In n' Out, Korean bbq, Japanese Cuisine, Sushi, Thai Cuisine and Japanese snacks. Made a pit stop at one of the 85 Degree Bakeries in California at Hacienda Heights, the other one being located in Irvine. There were so many sweet desserts that I felt were too pretty to eat, so I settled for a iced green tea milk tea and a box of 20 pastries. Nothing beats a good drink and bun. The following days were scheduled around Venice Beach, Hollywood, Beverly Hills and the Griffith Observatory. Glad that I was able to set foot on the same place "Rebel Without A Cause" was filmed, knowing that James Dean had been there prior. Needless to say, this little excursion was much needed and very much enjoyed. Especially with the cute little shops in Little Tokyo.

Hey guys! I'm finally home from my weekend in Los Angeles and have a slew of photos and updates to share. I've finally begun wrapping up my applications to colleges and the relief is so great. I will also be officially starting my job as a fashion consultant and stylist at the 2b Bebe headquarters in Brisbane (California) this month and I'm already looking forward to pulling pieces out from the sample closet and working closely with the staff. I will definitely feel that much closer to the Kardashians, in terms of clothing. With the arrival of the year's end, I am feeling extremely optimistic about the future and new year. Turns out the chain is owned by her family friend, which makes the whole idea even more appealing.

Daytime sashaying in this mini velvet number and the closest thing I have to nineteenth century chainmail. I felt the pigtails were very appropriate for this sparkly girly get-up in the silver grey color spectrum.

A new twist on the sweater + collared shirt look with my favorite crochet piece. Simply dug out a black chiffon ribbon from the black hole that is my closet and diy-ed a bow for more prim look. For the past few days, the weather has cooled down a couple degrees with few light showers in between - so refreshing. On the contrary, it makes me want to stay cozy under blankets, drink hot cocoa and watch Moulin Rouge instead of going to school.

Not too sure when I developed an unhealthy collection of striped shirts, nevertheless it's not just the whole nautical-mime-esque feel but the clean simplicity times chic look I love. Especially in black and white. I wore this outfit a couple days ago when I stopped for fro-yo at Juicy Berry at the Cherry Blossom Plaza with my sister. I now declare banana to be my new favorite flavor. As of today, I'm trying to enjoy the very last Sunday before school starts by making endless to-do lists (yes, there's something very satisfying about making lists) and stocking up on gel pens and reads for the year.

On Thursday I took part in a blogger event at the 2b stores' main office in Brisbane. I had lunch with the 2b team and a preview of their Fall and Holiday Collection which comes out in stores in a couple of months. There were also a couple styling sessions involved and moments where we had to half strangle the mannequins in order to put the clothes on. Meeting the 2b team members and shopping with them at the local 2b store was an amazing experience. I loved each and every one of the girls' sweet personalities and high energies. My favorite part of the day was definitely seeing all the passion and love that revolved around 2b and its growth as a company and business.

Vintage Leather Jacket / Men's Braided Belt + Ciao! Dafanfan Graphic T c/o Romwe + Random Chains of Gold + H&M Ring

Hopped from Downtown San Jose to Downtown Sunnyvale and stopped at Murphy St. for a quick bite of Tutti Frutti's fro-yo. Took a twist and upgraded to a cone instead of a cup. Wasn't really sure if wearing a leather jacket would be the best idea since the sun's rays are still a bit harsh, but I couldn't resist pairing my worn leather with this intense graphic t. Bearing body heat in mind and avoiding heatstroke, I wore teeny tiny shorts (which are covered by the long t) and tights to conserve.

H&M Batwing Top / Fedora + Goodwill Jeans + Rawa Sunnies c/o Kayu + Ellen Tracy Leopard Heels + Vintage Necklaces

I found this pair of pale baby pink jeans at a local Goodwill and jumped right at it when I caught a glance of the color in the sea of blue denim racks. I was pretty surprised that they fit since the majority of jeans tend to run too large or too small at Goodwill. Put on a pretty simple outfit with a hint of leopard in my newly gifted Ellen Tracy leopard heels. I absolutely adore the patent leather bows and the chunky little one inch heel. Of course, anything leopard printed automatically wins my heart. As of late in life, there's only one more week until school officially starts. This will be my senior year and I'm already looking forward to graduation, ahah.

It may be a little early to channel the rich tones and hues of Fall, but with my favorite season on its way I can't help but imagine the endless possibilities of Fall's earth-y color palettes. I love the dark and rich blue color of this star-printed blouse from my favorite French fashion house. Decided to brighten up this blue and brown duo with a baby pink crossbody-turned-clutch and lime green nails. And of course, gold hints with my favorite bangles.

My weekend in Tahoe led to two nights in this beautiful Paris themed decor home, and the artworks were just beautiful. Spent some valued family time and ate at The Soule Domain, where I had escargot for the first time. The lake waters were the bluest, unfortunately no photos, and board games at night were quite entertaining.

If you've been a long-time follower of my blog, you would know that I absolutely adore the French fashion label, Chloé. Not only for their sweet, feminine and lady-like silhouettes, but furthermore for their gorgeous color palettes that never ceases to implore the difference between need and want. Half a year back, I even styled a chloé-esque outfit that was inspired by the then-recent blush and copper hue duo that made a huge wave across both the blogosphere and runways alike. So of course I was ecstatic to pick this little chloé number up when it arrived on my doorstep. Je t'aime Chloé!

On a more life-related sidenote: I will be going on a mini vacation to Tahoe with some family for the weekend and I can't wait to detox both mind and body at the gorgeous summer lake waters. Until then, peacee.
